Khutir Savky Ukrainian living history museum is one of the few Ukrainian living history museums allowing you to time travel, and immerse yourself in the 17th-19th centuries’ life of the Ukrainian villages.
The museum consists of two buildings:

At the Khutir Savky museum, you will see the collection of old weights and measures, collections of clay and wooden utensils, weaving, carpentry, and baking tools, authentic clothes and shoes, as well as rare examples of the 16th – 20th centuries’ traditional Ukrainian folk art and many other interesting exhibits.

The museum founders spent a lot of time in ethnographic expeditions throughout Ukraine, collecting various materials. However, they not only know a lot of facts from the history of Ukraine and Ukrainian village life, but they are also fascinating storytellers.

This smoke comes from the wood-burning stove, in which the hospitable hostess is cooking dinner for you: traditional dishes prepared according to old Ukrainian recipes. Try borshch with pampushkas, roast meat, homemade sausages and sweet vareniki!

We did the beer tour in Kiev. Five beers in five different bars for two of us and our guide. That was a great chance to hang out with some locals, get to know the history and city a bit more, all while enjoying some of the unique local beers you can only find in Kiev. Our guide was very knowledgeable and great company and we had a fantastic evening! Highly recommended!
Highly recommend taking a tour with Wonders & Holidays. I learned so much about Ukrainian history that I wouldn't have on my own and the tour guides feel like friends (rather than just guides). I went on the Kiev in 180 minutes sightseeing tour with Igor and it was such a great experience. He was an excellent guide not only did he explain the history so well, but also answered any related or unrelated questions about Kiev and Ukraine. Both Igor and our driver Gestutas were so personable, accommodating, kind and professional - I hope I get the chance to go back again to take another tour with them.
