Pilipets
One of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Ukrainian Carpathians got its name from the word “shepit” (“whisper”), because the sound of water falling from a height of 14 meters reminds whispering from afar.
A more romantic version of this name’s origin is associated with the legend about lovers. You will certainly hear it near the waterfall.
Having admired how crystal water is broken into millions of drops on stones, you can, if you wish, climb Mount Gymba. Incredibly beautiful landscapes of the Carpathian Mountains open up there.
National park "Synevir"
Getting to the largest lake in Transcarpathia, which is hidden 989 meters above sea level in the midst of tall trees, is not so easy. But when you see its purest waters, you will understand that the journey is worth it.
It seems that you can catch fish with your hands in such clear water and its temperature does not exceed +11Co even in summer. If you wish, you can walk along the suspension path, hung between the tree crowns, to see the lake from above.
Moreover, you will be told the sad love story of Vira and Sin and other legends associated with the Carpathian Sea Eye.
National park "Synevir"
In Synevir Rehabilitation Center you will learn the stories of its pets, brown bears, who were illegally kept encaged.
The rescued animals feel well now and the founders plan to shelter a few more bears. These bears are currently living in conditions that violate the wild animals keeping rules.
