Lviv is not only the famous Ploshcha Rynok (Market Square) and nearby attractions. You will make sure of it on our sightseeing tour.
Three hours are enough to visit the main architectural masterpieces of Lviv. You will see one of the most beautiful necropolises of Western Europe and climb the highest Lviv mountain to get a magnificent city view in any weather.
Moreover, you will see the famous Lviv Polytechnic, the building of the former Parliament of Galicia, the House of Scientists, and other sightly buildings.
We’ll start our tour at the main Greek Catholic church in Lviv, built in the XVIII century by Bernard Meretin on the highest city hill. The facade of one of the most striking national baroque monuments is decorated with a sculpture of St. Yurii (St. George the Victorious). The interior of the cathedral is no less interesting due to its wonderful iconostasis and the pompous ambon (a place for sermons).
The most mysterious place of the cathedral is the crypt under the altar. A small dungeon serves as the tomb for the bishops, priests and monks.
Our next destination will be Mount Vysokyi Zamok. Climbing up the mount, you will see the remains of an ancient royal castle. Long ago, it rose above the city, and now its ruins only remind of its former greatness.
A little more up and you will reach the lookout. There you can get the perfect view of Lviv and its surroundings. You will have enough time to admire the sights of Lviv from above and make excellent photos.
Many famous Ukrainians found eternal peace in Lychakiv Cemetery. Its war graves attract tourists from other countries. Time froze here in masterpieces of sculpture and architecture.
If you used to think that a cemetery is a sad place, this open-air museum will make you change your mind.

our Customer Reviews
We had an amazing trip to Kyiv thanks to Wonders & Holidays team. This place is not to be missed- it’s magical we will be back! We had such a great driver Vladimir who knew exactly how best to navigate around Kiev with fantastic local knowledge. And Daria our guide was exceptional speaking multiple languages and making our trip interesting and fun. And big thanks to Nick who put this tailored made programme for us the way we wanted and accommodated us on every wish we made to be fit for a little child. We have amazing memories of our 3 days in Kiev! Thank you!
We did the beer tour in Kiev. Five beers in five different bars for two of us and our guide. That was a great chance to hang out with some locals, get to know the history and city a bit more, all while enjoying some of the unique local beers you can only find in Kiev. Our guide was very knowledgeable and great company and we had a fantastic evening! Highly recommended!
Highly recommend taking a tour with Wonders & Holidays. I learned so much about Ukrainian history that I wouldn't have on my own and the tour guides feel like friends (rather than just guides). I went on the Kiev in 180 minutes sightseeing tour with Igor and it was such a great experience. He was an excellent guide not only did he explain the history so well, but also answered any related or unrelated questions about Kiev and Ukraine. Both Igor and our driver Gestutas were so personable, accommodating, kind and professional - I hope I get the chance to go back again to take another tour with them.
